Your Calendar
The My Calendar section gives you a visual overview of everything on your schedule — Masses where you are the celebrant, sacraments you are assigned to, and parish events. It is the default view when you open the Priest Console.
Navigating the calendar
The calendar toolbar provides controls for moving between dates and switching views.
Navigation buttons sit at the top of the calendar:
- Use the left arrow and right arrow to move backward or forward by one month (or one week, depending on the active view).
- Click Today to jump back to the current date.
- Click the month and year label to open a picker where you can jump directly to any month and year, then click Go.
Month and week views
Two views are available, toggled by the buttons in the top-right corner of the calendar:
Month view displays the full month as a grid. Each day cell shows compact event cards with the event time, type, and location. This view is useful for seeing your overall workload and spotting open days.
Week view displays a single week with hourly time slots. Events appear as blocks positioned at their scheduled time, making it easier to see how your day is structured and whether events overlap.
Event types and color coding
Events on the calendar are color-coded by type so you can distinguish them at a glance:
| Event type | What it represents |
|---|---|
| Mass | A scheduled Mass where you are the celebrant or are assigned |
| Baptism | A baptism ceremony you are assigned to celebrate |
| Wedding | A wedding ceremony you are assigned to celebrate |
| Rehearsal | A wedding rehearsal linked to an upcoming wedding |
| Funeral | A funeral Mass or service you are assigned to |
| Quinceañera | A Quinceañera celebration you are assigned to |
Events where you are the assigned celebrant are highlighted with a distinct style so they stand out from events assigned to other priests at the same parish.
Viewing event details
Click any event on the calendar to open a detail panel. The detail view shows:
- Event type and time — the kind of event and when it takes place
- Location — which church or chapel, shown with a map pin icon
- Celebrant(s) — the assigned priest or priests
- Mass intentions — for Mass events, the primary intention and a count of any additional intentions attached to that Mass
From the event detail panel for Mass events, you can also access intention scheduling tools. For more information, see Scheduling and Fulfilling Intentions.
What the calendar does not show
The calendar displays events where you have an assignment. Parish-wide schedules, events assigned to other priests, and administrative items appear in the Admin Dashboard rather than in your personal calendar. If you believe an assignment is missing, contact your parish administrator.
