Managing Your Mass Intentions
The My Mass Intentions section lists every intention that has been assigned to you. From here you can review intention details, filter by status or date, and take action — scheduling an intention to a public or private Mass, or marking it as fulfilled.
The intentions table
Each row in the table represents one Mass intention and displays:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Intention For | The person or cause the Mass is offered for, with any specific details below |
| Requested By | The name and email of the person who submitted the request |
| Type | A colored badge indicating the intention type — Deceased, Living, Thanksgiving, or Special |
| Mass Date | The scheduled date and time if the intention has been assigned to a Mass, or "Not Scheduled" |
| Stipend | The offering amount and currency, with a green checkmark if paid |
| Status | The current status badge (see below) |
A small eye-off icon appears next to intentions marked as private by the requester.
Status badges
Each intention moves through a series of statuses as it progresses toward fulfillment:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | The request has been submitted but not yet assigned to a priest |
| Assigned | The intention has been assigned to you but is not yet scheduled for a specific Mass |
| Scheduled | The intention is linked to a specific Mass event (public or private) |
| Fulfilled | The Mass has been celebrated and the intention is complete |
| Cancelled | The intention was cancelled before fulfillment |
Summary cards
Above the table, four summary cards show counts at a glance: Total Assigned, Unscheduled (assigned but not yet linked to a Mass), Scheduled, and Fulfilled. These update as you apply filters.
Filtering your intentions
Use the filter controls above the table to narrow the list:
Status filter — show all intentions, or only those with a specific status: Assigned (Unscheduled), Scheduled, or Fulfilled.
Date range — set a start and end date to view intentions within a specific window. By default the range spans from today through one year forward.
Mass form preference — if your parish has enabled the Extraordinary Form, you can filter by No Preference, Ordinary, or Extraordinary. This filter is hidden when the feature is not active.
Search — type a name or keyword to search across the intention details and requester name.
Available actions
Click the three-dot menu on any intention row to see the actions available for that intention. The options depend on the intention's current status:
| Action | When available | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| View Details | Assigned, Scheduled, or Fulfilled | Opens a read-only panel with full intention and payment information |
| Schedule to Public Mass | Pending or Assigned | Lets you assign the intention to one of your upcoming public Masses |
| Schedule Private Mass | Assigned (unscheduled only) | Lets you set a date, time, and location for a private Mass |
| Mark as Fulfilled | Assigned (unscheduled only) | Records the intention as fulfilled with a date, time, and location |
For a detailed walkthrough of each scheduling and fulfillment option, see Scheduling and Fulfilling Intentions.
Viewing intention details
Select View Details from the action menu to open a detail panel. The panel is organized into sections:
Intention information — the person or cause, intention type, and any specific notes from the requester.
Requester information — name, email, and phone number (if provided).
Mass information — the scheduled date and time (displayed in the parish timezone), location, and assigned priest.
Payment information — the stipend amount and currency, whether the offering has been paid, and the payment method. If the parish has marked the offering as not required, a note says so instead.
Fulfillment details — visible only for fulfilled intentions. Shows when the Mass was celebrated and who the celebrant was.
When an intention is scheduled to a public or private Mass, it is automatically marked as fulfilled once the scheduled date passes. You do not need to manually mark it.
Pagination
If you have many intentions, use the pagination controls below the table to navigate between pages. You can display 25, 50, or 100 intentions per page using the dropdown.
