Viewing Confession Times

The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) is available at your parish during scheduled hours. Sacramentum shows you when Confession is offered and, if your parish enables it, whether a priest is available right now.

Finding Confession times

You can find Confession times in two places:

On the home page, look for a "Confession" or "Reconciliation" section showing today's scheduled hours.

On the weekly schedule, look for Confession times listed alongside Mass times, organized by location.

No sign-in is required to view Confession schedules.

Today's Confession hours

The home page highlights Confession times for today. For each scheduled time, you may see:

  • Start and end times
  • Location (church, chapel, or specific confessional)
  • The priest hearing confessions (if assigned)

If no Confession is scheduled for today, the section indicates when the next opportunity will be.

Weekly schedule

Your parish may display a weekly Confession schedule showing regular hours. This typically includes:

  • Days of the week when Confession is offered
  • Start and end times for each day
  • Location details
Saturday afternoons

Many parishes offer Confession on Saturday afternoons before the Vigil Mass. Check your parish's schedule for specific times.

Real-time availability

Some parishes enable real-time availability updates. When enabled, you may see:

  • Available now — A priest is currently hearing confessions
  • Starting soon — Confession begins within the next few minutes
  • Not available — No priest is currently available

These indicators update automatically without refreshing the page. For more details, see Understanding Priest Availability.

Not all parishes use real-time updates

Real-time availability is an optional feature. If your parish doesn't use it, you'll see only the scheduled times without live status indicators.

Special Confession times

Your parish may offer additional Confession times during:

  • Advent and Lent — Extended hours or penance services
  • Holy days — Special schedules before major feasts
  • Parish missions — Additional opportunities during special events
  • By appointment — Some parishes note that Confession is available by request

Check your parish's announcements or bulletin for special schedules during these seasons.

Multiple locations

If your parish has more than one worship space, Confession schedules are organized by location. Each location may have different:

  • Days and times
  • Assigned priests
  • Confessional facilities

Look for location names or addresses to find the schedule for your preferred worship space.

If times change

Confession schedules can change due to priest illness, weather, or special events. If you're unsure whether Confession will be available:

  1. Check the home page for any cancellation notices.
  2. Look for real-time availability indicators (if enabled).
  3. Contact the parish office to confirm.
Always verify before traveling

If you're making a special trip for Confession, consider calling the parish office to confirm availability, especially during holidays or inclement weather.

Timezone

All Confession times are displayed in your parish's local timezone. If you're viewing from a different timezone, remember that times shown are local to the parish.
