The Minister App
Sacramentum Go is a mobile-optimized companion app designed for priests and extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion who visit the homebound, hospitalized, or those in care facilities. It provides a streamlined interface focused on your daily visitation schedule, route planning, and quick profile access.
Accessing the Minister App
Navigate to your parish's Sacramentum address followed by /go (for example, https://stmary.sacramentum.app/go). Sign in with your regular credentials. The app is designed for phone screens but works on any device.
The three tabs
The Minister App has three tabs accessible from the bottom navigation bar:
Today
The Today tab is your daily dashboard. It shows your visitation schedule for the selected date, with each visit listed as a card containing the visitee's name, location, and visit status (planned or completed).
Use the date navigation arrows at the top to move between days, or tap Today to return to the current date. Tap any visit card to see the visitee's full profile, including pastoral notes and any health considerations.
Route
The Route tab displays your visits on a map with an optimized route between them. Use this to plan your travel order and get directions between visits. The route is calculated based on the visits scheduled for the selected day.
Me
The Me tab shows your profile information — your name (with clergy title), email, and role. This tab also provides the app installation options described below.
Installing as a mobile app
Sacramentum Go can be installed on your phone's home screen for quick access, just like a native app. The installation method depends on your device:
Android (Chrome): An Install App button appears on the Me tab. Tap it to add Sacramentum Go to your home screen. After installation, the button changes to a green confirmation reading "App Installed."
iPhone and iPad (Safari): iOS does not support automatic install prompts. Instead, the Me tab shows instructions: tap the Share button in Safari's toolbar, then select Add to Home Screen. This creates a home screen icon that opens the app in full-screen mode.
Other browsers: If your browser does not support installation, the Me tab displays a note suggesting you use Chrome or Safari instead.
Once installed, Sacramentum Go opens in full-screen mode without the browser toolbar, making it feel like a native app. This is especially convenient when you need to check your schedule quickly between visits.
Offline behavior
If you lose your internet connection while using the app, an Offline badge appears in the header. Your most recently loaded data remains visible, but you will not be able to update visit statuses or load new information until the connection is restored.
Who can use the Minister App
The Minister App is available to users with any of these roles: Priest, Admin-Priest, EMHC (Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion), or Minister. The features available may vary slightly by role — for example, priests see their clergy title on the profile tab, while EMHCs see their lay title.
