Sacramentum Open Beta

Sacramentum is a parish management platform developed by an active Catholic priest with twenty years of ministry. Designed from within parish life, it helps priests and parish staff save time, remain faithful to canon law, and care for the people entrusted to them. Now launching in open beta, Sacramentum places the sacraments of the Church at the center, especially the Eucharist and Confession.

Sacramentum Open Beta

A pastoral platform built from the parish

Today I am happy to announce the open beta launch of Sacramentum, a parish management platform that has grown directly out of parish life and pastoral ministry.

Sacramentum was developed by me, Fr. Miguel, an active Catholic priest with twenty years of ministry. During those years I have served in pastoral work, parish administration, and as a pastor. Like many priests, I have experienced firsthand how much time good church management can take away from direct ministry if we are not careful.

This platform was born out of that tension. Sacramentum exists to help priests and parish staff save time, reduce friction, and manage parish life in a way that ultimately allows us to care for people better. Administration should serve ministry, not replace it.

A Sacramental Focus

Sacramentum is intentionally centered on the sacraments of the Church, especially those received most frequently: the Eucharist and Confession. From the beginning, the platform has been designed to respect the theology, discipline, and pastoral realities of sacramental life.

One of its core features is Mass Intentions. The faithful can request Mass Intentions online in a simple and dignified way. These requests can be made for:

  • Scheduled Masses
  • Unscheduled Masses
  • Bulk Mass Intention requests
  • Gregorian Masses, a distinctive feature that reflects real pastoral needs often overlooked by generic platforms

Sacramentum is also multilingual, making it easier for parishes serving diverse communities to welcome everyone without unnecessary barriers.

Canon Law at the Core

Sacramentum was designed from the ground up to be canon law compliant. This is not an afterthought.

Behind the scenes, the platform uses algorithms that continuously ensure that Mass stipends, intentions, scheduling, and sacramental records follow canonical norms. The goal is simple: to help priests and parish staff do the right thing without having to constantly double-check rules or worry about accidental inconsistencies.

Good order serves good ministry.

Serving Real Pastoral Needs

Beyond Mass Intentions, Sacramentum helps manage other sacraments and rites, including:

  • Baptisms
  • Marriages
  • Funerals
  • Quinceañeras

One of the most practical aspects of the platform is how it gathers information from families. By simply sharing a link, parents preparing for a baptism or families planning a funeral can fill out a clear, step-by-step form without needing to create an account or log in.

These guided forms reduce back-and-forth emails and phone calls, while helping families provide exactly the information the parish needs to offer these sacraments well.

Sacramentum also includes a module for managing visits to the homebound and the sick, helping priests and ministers track needs and ensure that no one is forgotten.

Financial Clarity Without Losing the Pastoral Heart

Sacramentum includes a financial module built around a proper ledger system. It helps parish bookkeepers track stipends, sacramental offerings, and general entries with clarity and accountability.

The platform is designed to work with QuickBooks Online, with plans for automatic synchronization in the future. It also integrates with Stripe for online Mass Intention requests, using a secure and reliable payment processor.

All of this is meant to support transparency and good stewardship, without turning ministry into mere bookkeeping.

Open Beta and Founding Members

Sacramentum is still in active development, and today we are launching it in open beta. While you may encounter some bugs, the platform is already fully functional and actively used in real parish settings.

For those who join during the beta period, there is a founding member price of $50 per month, locked in for as long as you remain on the platform.

This project is not meant to be a profit venture. The modest cost simply helps cover hosting, infrastructure, and necessary APIs such as mapping services and artificial intelligence tools used behind the scenes.

You can try Sacramentum with a 30-day free trial. During the beta, you will also have direct access to me as the main developer for feedback, suggestions, and bug reports. This is very much a collaborative effort.

Sacramentum is a tool built from within the Church, for the service of the Church. My hope is that it will quietly do its job in the background, so that priests and parish staff can spend more time where they belong: with their people.
